We are still in negotiations with the company. We are down to the brass tacks as far as bargaining is concerned with the three major items still being Health insurance, compensation and Staffing/Scheduling.
Elections. Ballots will be mailed out to all members of Local 5103 in good standing by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) on May 17, 2022. Ballots will close approximately 25 days later.
At the last bargaining session, management claimed that they ever hear any complaints about scheduling and staffing from our members. Lets show them how wrong they are.
While the Teamsters exit from the coalition has slowed down the process, we are continuing to make progress and will keep you posted with any updates or actions needed to move Red Cross.
This is a reminder that we’ll be holding a General Membership Meeting this Sunday, February 13th at 6:00pm.
While there is still a big fight ahead of us, we are happy to announce that we have come to a Tentative Agreement with management on our local contract.

The company refused to negotiate on a guarantee of hours at a national level. They want to keep this at a local level. Where they continue to try to take that away as well.
We will be holding a special voting meeting with the membership on Sunday, November 14th to give you an update and take a critical vote authorizing the Bargaining Committee to call a strike if necessary.
We met with management yesterday and today (November 3rd and 4th) for local bargaining. We’ll send out an update on Friday but in the meantime, please keep wearing your buttons and send in the pictures if you haven’t yet.
