Yesterday our membership ratified the new agreement with Bergen New Bridge by an overwhelming majority. Thanks to all who came out to vote. The contract takes effect on June 1st.

Our bargaining committee recommends a YES vote to ratify the agreement settled on May 15th with Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.
We had our eleventh negotiations session with management. The action was quick with a lot of productive discussion. Shortly after lunch we agreed on a MOA for a new, three-year contract!!
On January 26th, HPAE members came out for a training on handling grievances and representing their co-workers in disciplinary procedures.

The long-awaited "new day" for health care at Bergen County's public hospital arrived on Monday with new management and a new name for the 101-year-old facility on East Ridgewood Avenue.
Yesterday, Bergen County Executive, James Tedesco, announced that the for-profit managers of BRMC will be replaced by Care Plus and Integrity House with Rutgers University contracted to provide some clinical services.
