This workshop will provide an overview of patient rights concerning medical debt and paid leave in New Jersey. Participants will gain knowledge to effectively navigate and advocate available benefits for their patients and themselves.
You are an important part of the plan - the contract belongs to every member, and if we are going to negotiate a good contract, we need to know what issues matter most to you.
The day will include a program with CEUs, so it is eligible for a paid conference day for full and part timers under our contract.
The Occupational Liability Insurance Plan (the Plan) provides AFT members broad protection for legal defense costs and court judgements.
All members are welcome to attend.
HPAE members are covered by professional liability insurance through HPAE/AFT. For members of local 5058, until now there has been an 18-cent deduction per paycheck for this benefit.
We want to update all of you on the meeting with management regarding a proposal for shift differentials and on call pay, which they finally sent us in writing yesterday.
We will be having a General Membership Meeting at the Glendola Firehouse, on Wednesday October 9th, from 5pm to 9pm. All Eboard and HPAE reps will be present to listen to your concerns and answer any questions you may have.
The Nominations/Election Committee announces that we are now accepting nominations to represent Local 5058 at this year’s HPAE State Convention , as well as the AFT National Convention.
Participants of this workshop will learn how to communicate about workplace issues, how to best identify which issues they should address, and how to engage and mobilize their colleagues both individually and collectively to make improvements regarding those identified issues.
While recent state-specific data is hard to find, hospitals here reported nearly 10,000 violent incidents in 2021, up nearly 15% from 2019, according to an industry report issued last year.
