Our First Negotiations Update!
On Tuesday, 11/25, we met with Management for our first negotiations session. We presented our petition, signed by a majority of members, and then presented our non-economic and minor economic proposals.
Local 5091 Officer Election
Nominations for Local 5091 Officer positions were closed on September 2. In accordance with the HPAE election rules, all unopposed candidates shall be deemed elected.
Local 5089 Officer Election
Nominations for Local 5089 Officer positions were closed on October 31, 2025. In accordance with the HPAE election rules, all unopposed candidates shall be deemed elected.
Stand with the Bayonne Lab - Say NO to Outsourcing
Management recently announced that they have decided to outsource all workers in the Bayonne Lab. Our Contract states that before any final decision on outsourcing, they must consult with us - they never did!
Local 5097 Officer Elections
The election has begun for HPAE Local 5097 Officers. The election is being conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Ballots were mailed to all members in good standing on Monday, November 10, 2025.

READ IMMEDIATELY - Union Update, November 14, 2025
On November 13, Hudson Regional announced plans to close all Heights units except the Emergency Department. We believe this rushed and potentially unlawful action leaves the community without a functional hospital and puts patients at risk.

Local 5186 Important Union Update, November 11, 2025
Today, Management just Informed us that they intend to close all departments aside from the ED. They could not give us a date, time, reason, or list of members who would be impacted.
