Local 5091 Members to Vote on Participation in the Retiree Medical Trust

In late July and early August, there will be an election to determine whether full-time and part-time employees in the RN and non-nursing professional bargaining units will participate in the HPAE Retiree Medical Trust.  The American Arbitration Association (AAA) will be conducting the election.  Full-time and part-time employees will be asked in this vote whether they want to participate in the HPAE Retiree Medical Trust through a mandatory $.20/hour contribution (excluding overtime hours).

The Local Executive Board is strongly recommending a “Yes” vote.

At the membership meetings on July 13th, a presentation on the HPAE Retiree Medical Trust (also called a “VEBA”) will be provided.
